Pregnancy & Women’s Health
Pregnancy & Women’s Health is a Pilates based exercise program designed specifically for women with a particular focus on the pelvic floor muscles. This class is suitable for women of all ages, particularly women who are pregnant and wanting to keep exercising in a safe environment, women who are postnatal looking to return to exercise and women with continence and pelvic floor dysfunction.
Exercise during Pregnancy
There are many benefits to exercising during pregnancy. Exercise can help to reduce musculoskeletal pain and leg cramping, improve/maintain muscle strength, tone and cardiovascular fitness, improve sleep patterns, reduce fatigue and manage stress/anxiety, just to name a few. There are however many “do’s and don’ts” when exercising during pregnancy which can be very daunting for women keen to maintain their health and fitness.
Each participant is provided with an individualised program modified to the stage of their pregnancy, is pelvic floor safe and takes into consideration the specific precautions and considerations required whilst exercising during pregnancy. This class also provides women with the opportunity to meet other pregnant women, ask questions, stay fit and feel fabulous.
