Clinical Interest: Complex shoulder and knee issues, tendon pain, running injuries

Nic has completed a Masters degree in Physiotherapy at Curtin University and
a Bachelor of Exercise Science (with Honours) at ACU Melbourne. Nic has a wide
variety of experience, previously working as a physiotherapist with the Western
Force Rugby club and the Subiaco Football Club. He has also worked at several
universities and currently works part-time at Curtin University, teaching on
the physiotherapy program across several different units.

Nic’s clinical experience includes the treatment and rehabilitation of a
large variety of musculoskeletal and sporting conditions. Nic has a strong
focus on the management of complex shoulder and knee conditions
in both athletic and general populations. Along side his clinical work and
teaching, Nic is also involved in several of research projects, which aim to
improve outcomes following ACL and shoulder injuries.

Drawing from his experience as a researcher and working in elite sport,
Nic’s treatment approach includes a comprehensive functional assessment and
highly individualised exercise rehabilitation programs. He also uses a combination
of dry needling, manual therapy, and shockwave therapy to achieve the best
results for his patients. Nic also coordinates our ‘Karrinyup Performance’
service, which involves the advanced assessment of injuries using force plates,
motion analysis and specialised strength testing equipment.
